Peer Network as Commerce Graph: Business Profiles and Merchant Checkout
Scaling mobile and backend delivery as peer payments expanded into merchant use
The Client · A leading peer-to-peer payments platform

Overview
A leading peer-to-peer payments platform engaged Taller as it expanded from peer payments into a commerce network. Taller delivered the mobile and backend engineering for the Business Profile launch and continued to support payment-processing modernization through 2026.
The Problem
The platform’s expansion from peer-to-peer payments into a commerce network (merchant checkout, business profiles, goods-and-services tagging, in-store QR codes, and mobile SDKs) required a mobile-engineering scale-up for the Business Profile launch, plus ongoing modernization of the payment-processing system to handle merchant volume.
The Solution
Taller delivered the mobile and backend team behind the Business Profile launch on iOS, Android, Python, and MySQL. On the payment-processing side, Taller engineers embedded in agile squads using pair programming and test-driven development, accelerated feature delivery (including dispute resolution), and led the containerization and AWS migration with automated deployment pipelines on Ruby on Rails, AWS, and Docker. That payment-processing engagement remained active in 2026, with continued Ruby on Rails delivery.
The Impact
The Business Profile launch was delivered ahead of schedule and met its monetization goals. These outcomes belonged to the platform’s commerce strategy; Taller’s contribution was the mobile and backend engineering behind the launch and the payment-processing modernization beneath it.
Millions of merchants on the platform
faster integration of new payment features
reduction in deployment times
downtime during the AWS migration
